Women’s Ministry
The Women’s Ministry at FBC Griffith is L.I.G.H.T. (Ladies Intentionally Going, Helping, Touching). L.I.G.H.T. meets Thursday evenings at 6:15 pm. The focus of each gathering will be threefold: “Something for Me, Something for Us, Something for Him.”
Something for ME
Small groups interact on a personal level about Christian life. Topics for Fall 2007 which starts September 27 include the following:
- Strong Walk - led by Christie Brownd
- The Book Club - led by Laura Hobbs
- Last Light by Terri Blackstock
- Hope Rising by Kim Meeder
- The Princess by Lori Wick
- A study about Grief - led by Elsie McAllister
- Vertically Inclined - led by Denise Lower
Something for US
Between the small group time and the mission projects, “Something for Us” is a time of fellowship. This is your chance to get to know the ladies from the other small groups. Snacks and beverages are provided.
Something for HIM
This portion of the meeting is disigned to bring Christ’s love to the world by serving others through local mission projects. Some of the missions scheduled for this fall are as follows:
- Nursing Home - led by JoAnn Davenport
- Quill Ministry - led by Cherise Govert
- Homebound - led by Ruth Hendrix
- Prayer Ministry - led by Penny Herbert
